Why Coach with Me?

If you were to live more fully, more consciously, more authentically than you do now, how would you live?

You are equal to your life. That means that you have everything you need to live as fully, consciously, and authentically as you desire - you are whole right now. When you empower yourself to step into your wholeness and translate that into action in the world, you learn, you grow, and you feel fulfilled. You find out who you are and what exactly it is you have to offer the world - that Gift that you were given that no one else was given. That thing you can’t not do. That thing the world needs done that only you can do - your life purpose.

So what exactly does empowering yourself mean? It’s giving yourself permission to let go of shoulds and comparisons and be the beauty that remains - your authentic you! And then putting that authentic you out into the world as action.  As Joseph Campbell said, “The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.”

As a Coach, I walk next to you in partnership and mutual respect. I listen actively. I ask you questions. I offer observations and insights. I invite you to recognise and trust your own intuition and awareness - of yourself and the world around you. As you do this, you open to new perspectives. You see things that you hadn’t yet seen, but that have been there inside you all along. From this new place of seeing, you get clear on the actions you need to take to achieve  the life you want.  And the more you take action, the more doors open where you did not know they were going to be.

"Go and love someone exactly as they are. And watch how quickly they transform into the greatest, truest version of themselves. When one feels seen and appreciated in their own essence, one is instantly empowered."

    Why Compassion Centred?

Because  Compassion goes hand in hand with Coaching from the head, the heart and the will...

The more you share your struggles and vulnerabilities, the more I feel a tingling warmth inside that comes from a deep appreciation of the courage it takes to hold and share those struggles and to be the one struggling - knowing that it is that very same courage that fuels the desire for something new and the clarity to take action to get there.

Compassion is seeing the essence, the soul of another and thus seeing one’s own soul. Compassion is Presence - the sharing of this unique precious moment we’re in, together. In this way, compassion teaches us that we are never alone in our struggles.

Compassion is witnessing your struggle, your vulnerability, your pain with you… whilst we both simultaneously hold the way you want things to be, the dream you are reaching for - both are right, nothing is wrong, there is nothing to fix. Hence why acceptance - of you and of what is - is at the heart of compassion.  As we develop compassion, our hearts open. When our hearts open, we are kinder, more generous people.

Compassion directed inwards is self-compassion. Self-compassion gifts you with emotional strength and resilience. It enhances your motivation to learn and grow. And it provides the support and inspiration you need to make changes in your life and reach your full potential. When you are able to unconditionally accept all of yourself in this moment, even when things aren't quite the way you'd like, you empower yourself to step into the best version of you.  And this is what I dream of for my clients!

"Compassion is not a relationship between healer and the wounded. It's a relationship between equals... it becomes real when we recognise our shared humanity."
    Pema Chodron
    Out on the Ocean
    by David Whyte
... with 5 miles to go
    of open ocean
    the eyes pierce the horizon,

    the kayak pulls around
like a pony held by unseen reins
    shying out of the ocean

    and the spark behind fear,
    recognised as life,
    leaps into flame.

    Always this energy smoulders inside,
    when it remains unlit,
the body fills with dense smoke.
